can t connect windows update if joined to domain

Hello,
When I try to run Windows Update or Update Windows Defender I get Code: 8024402C.
I only get this when I am joined to a domain. If I detach from the domain and join a workgroup, I can get updates with no problem.
I have also enabled 'Automatically detect settings' in the LAN settings as I've seen posted elsewhere, which did not work.

Has your domain administrator blocked Microsoft Update? Some enterprises control patching and don't allow access.
